I am proud to announce that we have released Revolution Pro, a minimalist design that I created for the Genesis Framework at StudioPress.
Staying true to my love and passion for white space and typography, I wanted the Revolution Pro theme to exemplify life and serve a beautiful website experience for the reader.
As a fan of minimalism, my approach to designing Revolution Pro was simple—I wanted to open up the screen for intentional placement of content and pair that with stunning media and space for it all to breathe.
The Revolution Pro theme demo showcases five homepage examples: Agency, Lifestyle Blogger, Personal Branding, Photographer, and Small Business.
With the release of the Gutenberg editor in WordPress 5.0, building a homepage with the Genesis Framework has become much easier. Our team at StudioPress wanted to demonstrate just the flexibility of Revolution Pro.
Revolution Pro by StudioPress
In my announcement post, I wanted to pay tribute to the original Revolution theme, which launched my entrepreneurial career and was the start of the premium WordPress theme movement:
“The original Revolution theme introduced a whole new realm of possibilities for WordPress and fundamentally changed the way people all around the world use WordPress which has had a lasting impact even to this day.”
Introducing Revolution Pro and bringing things full circle:
“Here we are, nearly ten years to the date, and I couldn’t be any happier to announce the release of Revolution Pro—the third generation of digital excellence. We feel Revolution Pro honors that history by invoking a new era of possibility with the new Gutenberg block editor in WordPress core.”
Revolution Pro and WooCommerce
With the rise of e-commerce websites being built with WordPress, our team at StudioPress made the decision to support integration with WooCommerce.
Launched in September 2011, WooCommerce became popular for its simplicity to set up an online store and sell products. It is designed for small to large-sized merchants using WordPress and offers customization and extensibility.
Here is an example shop using Revolution Pro by StudioPress:
Revolution Pro Google Fonts
I am a firm believer that the right typography can make or break a website design. As someone who obsesses over which fonts to use on a design, I spent a tremendous amount of time choosing them for this theme.
Google Fonts that are being used on the Revolution Pro theme:
- Noto Serif — Font weight: 300, 600
- Playfair Display — Font weight: 400, 700, 700i
- Poppins — Font weight: 400
Revolution Pro for Your Website
