Last week I released Twenty Seven Pro, a minimalist theme for lifestyle and food bloggers. I’m please with how well it has been received so far.
One of the things I like most about the Twenty Seven Pro theme is the way I designed the footer — I created two sides, separated by a nifty circular logo.
Here’s a screenshot to show you what that looks like:
Here’s how I customized the Twenty Seven Pro theme footer:
1. Download and install the Genesis Simple Edits plugin.
2. Inside your WP dashboard, go to Genesis > Simple Edits and under the Footer Output section, check the option box that says “Modify Entire Footer Text (including markup)?”
3. Enter the following HTML in the box provided below:
<div class="footer-left"><p>© Twenty Seven Pro, 2016 · Design by <a href="http://briangardner.com/">Brian Gardner</a></p></div> <div class="footer-logo"><a href="http://themedemo.me/twenty-seven/"><img class="logo-footer" src="http://themedemo.me/new/wp-content/uploads/sites/59/2016/08/footer-logo.png" alt="Footer Logo" /></a></div> <div class="footer-right"><p><a href="#">Facebook</a> <span class="slash">/</span> <a href="#">Instagram</a> <span class="slash">/</span> <a href="#">Pinterest</a> <span class="slash">/</span> <a href="#">Twitter</a></p></div>
Note: you’ll need to create your own logo and replace the image source URL.
If you’re interested in customizing your site, take a look at my Genesis Tutorials. Learn how to build and customize websites with the Genesis Framework.
I’m also pleased to share with you some Genesis code snippets that I use when I’m developing websites with the Genesis Framework. They are free to use, so go ahead and do whatever you want with them.
