Hey, I’m Brian Gardner.
I spend a lot of time thinking about how authority is formed quietly, long before it’s visible—and why that matters more than attention.
I work as Head of Community at WP Engine, partnering with customers, agencies, and the broader WordPress ecosystem. My role includes leading strategic initiatives, supporting industry events, and helping teams think more clearly about how they build and grow.
Real estate is an industry I’ve been interested in serving for years. Like many of us who build in public, I’ve focused on the same three things: trust, influence, and relevance.
Alongside that work, I’m increasingly focused on real estate—exploring how those forces are taking shape now, especially in how people understand place and decide who they trust.
This line of thinking led to Place Authority, an ongoing exploration of how trust, influence, and relevance are formed upstream in real estate.
Much of what I write and build sits at this intersection, where systems, clarity, and long-term thinking matter more than tactics or volume.
On the personal side, I recently moved to Phoenix, Arizona, which has given me a renewed perspective on work, design, and purpose.
Social media offers a glimpse into my latest adventures, a sneak peek at what goes on backstage, and a way to get to know my authentic self.

In the meantime, may the odds be ever in your favor.
