Oops!… I Did It Again

Oops!… I Did It Again

As an artist, I’m often driven by the insatiable desire to create something that will blow minds and earn a resounding ovation from my discerning inner critic. Yet, “fresh” ideas reign supreme, and “proven” methods are deemed passé.

As a result, I often struggle with the inevitable decision of 86’ing my work and starting from scratch.

My creative journey is filled with highs and lows, fueled by the need to revolutionize and transcend limits in the quest for excellence. However, the fear of falling short can be paralyzing, often tempting me to abandon my work in the face of uncertainty or doubt.

I’ve realized that my journey is characterized not by the work I leave behind but by the invaluable wisdom gleaned and the moments of joy and laughter that punctuate the adventure. It also reminds me that the path to greatness is never a straight line.

Oops!… I Did It Again

I’ve learned to appreciate the value of change in my art, understanding that each past creation leads to greater creativity. The bravery to accept my work’s growth, and the persistence to keep making new pieces, define my artistic identity.

I know I’m not the only creator with a love-hate relationship with their work. But let’s be honest: the thread that unites us all springs from a relentless pursuit of the extraordinary. For me, the impulse to start anew often stems from a profound dissatisfaction, which can ironically kindle the flame that catalyzes growth and enhancement.

Over the years, I have playfully borrowed the “Oops!… I Did It Again” title from Britney Spears to announce the redesign of my website—and as you can see, it’s happening once more.

But this time is different, as I’ve embarked on an exciting new side project called Powder. There, I’ll dedicate my design energy to making WordPress themes available for professional creators.

My passion for writing will find a home right here through a newsletter-focused theme I’m developing. This theme will eventually be available for purchase on the Powder website, and I’m testing it now to ensure perfection before its official release.

In the meantime, I want to thread all of my endeavors with a sense of community. So let’s come together to enjoy our imaginative world. Together, we can leave an mark that reflects our unwavering determination and spirited passion for what we believe in.
